Raining Plarn, An Installation with Plastic Yarn

Plastic yarn for this project is made out of painted plastic shops that I cut into strips and Crocheted them with a fat Crochet Hook. Plastic bags are symbols of human waste to me. They are often very hard to recycle and people tend to through them out anyways. I once heard on the radio that scientists found plastic trace in the rain on top of the mount Rocket in Colorado. The reporter was saying that the rain even in one of the most remote places in this earth has plastic in it so I thought of rain of plastic yarns on our heads. A direct result of our irresponsible actions as humans that bounce back ina more indirect way to us.
